On April 8, 2014, Ernie Shand, Library Board Chair; Jim Mullen, Town Manager; Steve Melanson, Library Building Committee and Nancy Tusinski Library Director met with Ralph Nimtz of NBF Architects of Rutland, VT to discuss the possibility of cost savings for the building project.

Several items were addressed such as replacing the current plan for a standing seam metal roof to a laminate shingle that would more closely resemble the existing historic slate roof and be more energy efficient. The Library Board will be reviewing all proposed cost saving measures once a proposal is received from Mr Nimitz. The footprint of the building will remain the same.

At the April 17, 2014 Library Board of Trustees meeting, the board voted to collect voter signature for a Petition to have a Bond Resolution for the August 26, 2014 Vermont Primary Election Day. The petition should be available the beginning of June and 250 signatures will be needed.
